About

Our vision is to provide the highest quality of health, education and social development for the poorest children in Haiti, so that they may achieve their fullest potential as global citizens.

The Institution Notre Dame de la Medaille Miraculeuse (INDMM) also called Act for Haiti internationally, is a Home-Centre for children in need as well as a nursery, a primary and secondary School. We are a non-for-profit institution, financed entirely by donations in money or in-kind from Partners, Benefactors and Volunteers.

We are a micro-charity with immediate needs and real-life projects where a small amount of donation can make a significant difference to someone's life.

OUR STORY

Act for Haiti will soon be celebrating 15 years of continuous success in changing Children's life for the better.

It all started when the "Communaute des Laiques Catholiques de Haiti" (CLCH) was founded under the direction of Madame Claudette Leconte, Haitian, in March 1997. CLCH was to support the poorest communities of Haiti and in 2001, opened a small temporary school with 24 children in the most deprived shantytown of the country.

Team

At Act for Haiti, we have an holistic view on education. Our overall goal is to provide the highest quality of education possible to the toddlers, pupils and students attending the School. Last year, 100% of our students successfully graduated at their A level. The teaching staff, responsible for such great achievement, consists of 1 School deputy managing 27 Haitian teachers, as well as 1 team leader. The overall structure is supported by the school administrators that provide operational assistance and help develop teaching methods using local and international resources.
